After several months of investigation, the report involving the Tesla Model Y’s sudden acceleration case in Chaozhou, China has been released. According to the data retrieved from the Model Y’s EDR (Event Data Recorder), Tesla concluded that the accelerator pedal was applied at 100 percent and the brakes were never applied. The EDR also revealed that the Model Y hit speeds as high as 164 km/h. These findings contradict the CCTV footage that captured the crash on that Saturday morning, which show
