The Volkswagen Group has surprised the industry by reducing production at one of its electric vehicle (EV) plants as the company faces buyer reluctance towards its EVs, revealed by the head of one of its unions for workers to the German media. Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has previewed the all-electric (EV) Volkswagen ID.4 in Malaysia at the VW Fest 2022. Note that the units on display are test units and may not be reflective of the specifications we'll be getting. Only one variant will be available – the Pro Performance, though price is yet to be announced. Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) will be previewing the all-electric (EV) Volkswagen ID.4 at the VW Fest 2022, happening at the historic Sentul Depot in Kuala Lumpur on 15- and 16-October. The Volkswagen ID.4 is a Tiguan-sized EV that is set to rival the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in Malaysia. Globally, there are two battery options for the ID.4 - 52 kWh and 77 kWh. We’re expecting VPCM to give the 52-kWh variant a miss and introduce the 77-kWh version. The 77-kWh variant achieves a WLTP range of
