2020 Volvo XC90 facelift! New reason to go Swede
Volvo Malaysia has just refreshed their best selling large SUV, the 2020 Volvo XC90.
The new prices without insurance are:
- Volvo XC90 T5 – RM 373,888
- Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine Inscription – RM 399,888
- Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine Inscription Plus – RM 409,888
New on the facelift 2020 Volvo XC90 include new wheels, a modern grille and a new exterior colour to choose from.
For the T8 engine XC90, the interior sees the only upgrade being a redesigned Orrefors crystal electronic gearshift lever.
While the T5 saw the inclusion of third row air conditioning with C-pillar vents, road sign information system as well as a 4-zone automatic climate control system with cooled glove box.
Upgrades on the T8 are mainly under the bonnet with the battery seeing an increased capacity from 10.4kW to 11.6kWh. That means improved driving range, now up to 50 km.
In terms of tech, Volvo has shoe-horned all their latest systems into the 2020 Volvo XC90 that offer drivers help with steering on both the City Safety and Blind-Spot Information System.
Meanwhile the Oncoming Lane Mitigation system first introduced on the XC60 is now included in the XC90 as well. The Cross Traffic Alert technology has also been upgraded to include autobrake.
Other than the safety equipment tech, Volvo has also updated the Sensus infotainment system to include Apple Carplay and Android Auto as well as integrated with Spotify Music streaming service.
Five colour choices are on offer: Crystal White Pearl, Denim Blue Metallic, Onyx Black Metallic, Pebble Grey Metallic, and Thunder Grey Metallic.
