Singapore is the first country in the ASEAN region to receive the Swift Sport with a 48V mild-hybrid (MHEV) system.
Under the hood lies the turbocharged 1.4-litre K14D four-cylinder petrol engine that does 129 PS and 235 Nm, hooked up to a 48V mild-hybrid (MHEV) system.

Model | Power (PS) | Torque (Nm) |
Swift Sport | 140 | 230 |
Swift Sport (48V) | 129 | 235 |
Power figures are down compared to Malaysian-spec car, owing to the fact that the Swift Sport has to comply with stricter Euro 6d emission regulations.
Compared to the non-hybrid model, the mild hybrid Swift Sport also emits less carbon dioxide (CO2), coming in at 127 g/km. The earlier model did 135 g/km.
The Swift Sport is only offered with a six-speed manual transmission in Singapore. No automatic for our neighbours down south. Suzuki says that the 48V mild-hybrid-equipped Swift Sport completes the century sprint in just 9.1 seconds.

While the mild-hybrid-equipped Swift Sport is down on power compared to the regular Swift Sport, fuel consumption is miles ahead. The mild-hybrid Swift Sport returns 4.71-litre/100 km under a combined cycle, considerably better than the non-hybrid’s 6.1-litre/100 km figure.

Visually, the Singapore-spec car is largely similar to the Malaysian-spec car, with the exception of the larger 17-inch wheels. The rest, including the large gaping front grille, carbon fibre finishing on the body kit, and twin muffler tips are identical.

The 2021 Suzuki Swift Sport is priced at SGD 109,900. The price is a tad bit more than parallel-imported units, which are priced between SGD 81,000 to SGD 95,000.
