Let us skip the pleasantries and get right down to business. We’ve tested the 2022 Perodua Myvi 1.5L CVT’s fuel consumption according to our WapCar Ratings standard and here's the result.
As per usual, we brim the fuel tank first. All tyres are inflated according to the manufacturer’s recommendation and air-conditioning is kept on at all times. Driving behaviour is as normal – no hypermiling nor over-enthusiastic driving.
After a journey of 83.7km, broken down about 60/40 highway and city driving, the 2022 Perodua Myvi required 5.36 litres of fuel to be brimmed once again.
At 110 km/h, the Myvi CVT cruises at 2,000 rpm.
Working out the numbers, the 2022 Perodua Myvi 1.5L CVT has a calculated fuel consumption figure of 6.4-litre/100 km.
Note that the Myvi has not been run-in yet, with less than 100 km on the odometer. With that in mind, when we had the Perodua Ativatest unit with comparable mileage, it achieved 7.9-litre/100 km in similar driving conditions.
Refuels 8, 9 & 10 are omitted because not refuelled to full tank
Our very own Perodua Ativa averaged 7.68-litre/100 km over the course of 6 months and 9,075 km. It only dipped below 7-litre/100 km on smooth highway journeys at a constant speed.
So there you have it folks, the real-world fuel consumption of the 2022 Perodua Myvi 1.5L CVT. It’s still fresh from the factory and in theory, it could get better after it’s properly run-in.
The quest for automotive knowledge began as soon as the earliest memories. Various sources information, even questionable ones, have been explored including video games, television, magazines, or even internet forums. Still stuck in that rabbit hole.
