Hyundai's Indonesian operations are gearing up to produce and sell the funky Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric vehicle (EV) in the country, according to a report by Otodriver.com.
Sources close to Otodriver mention that the EV SUV is touted to begin Indonesian production next year. Targeted production numbers are 1,000 units in 2022, and 1,500 units in 2023.
However, it is still unclear whether the model will be fully locally-manufactured or just assembled (CKD) in the archipelago.
