During the Battery Day, Elon Musk has unveiled the Tesla Model S Plaid - basically the Tesla Model S on steroids. The presentation took place in front of a crowd of Tesla enthusiasts with their Tesla cars, very much like a drive-in cinema.

Exact performance figures are yet to be confirmed, but the presentation makes the following bold claims:
Quickest 0-60 mph and quarter-mile acceleration of any production car ever
Acceleration from 0-60 mph: <2.0 s
Quarter mile: <9.0 s
A range of over 836 km
The Plaid starts at 139,990 USD before options. For context, the Porsche Taycan Turbo starts at 150,900 USD, and the Taycan Turbo S starts at 185,000 USD
Last year, we’ve seen the Model S Plaid unofficially lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:13 minutes, a good 29 seconds faster than the Porsche Taycan.
Tesla cars are not officially sold in Malaysia, but the Porsche Taycan is.
Tesla has also announced its new battery, the 4680 battery. The battery builds on Tesla’s tables battery technology and is claimed to be 6 times more powerful than current Li-ion batteries, has 5 times more energy, and provides an increased range.
