7-seater 2022 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro facelift, aimed at Geely Haoyue / Proton X90

Chery has released official photos of the upcoming flagship SUV the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro. And that is not all, the photos also gave us a first look at the hybrid variant Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Kunpeng e+.

Previously, we reported that Chery is finally adding a Pro version to the already extensive Tiggo 8 line-up in China. The car was spotted testing on the roads giving everyone a good look at the new flagship SUV.
However, now Chery is kickstarting its promotional campaign for the Tiggo 8 Pro in earnest by releasing these futuristic photos of the model taking on space.
The campaign materials are accompanied by the caption telling the world that the Tiggo 8 Pro and the Tiggo 8 Pro Kunpeng e+ are the most technologically advanced version of the model yet.
In the spyshot photos, the Tiggo 8 Pro is finished in grey with contrasting bright red accents around the fog lamp housing and below the new angular front grille. From the photos released by Chery’s official Weibo page, the car finished in green will get orange trims instead.
Meanwhile, the interior photo reveals that the mocha brown interior as seen in the spyshots will be a standard colour scheme. We also get a better look at the 24.6-inch screen that houses the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system.
Chery has yet to release any official powertrain information about the car, however, the standard Tiggo 8 Pro is expected to come with a 1.6-litre engine and a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine.
The Tiggo 8 Pro KunPeng e+ variant will come with a DHT hybrid system featuring a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with two electric motors. The hybrid powertrain will feature a 19.27 kWh battery pack that is good for a 100 km pure electric range.
According to Chinese media reports, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is expected to go on sale as soon as the end of April 2022. Meanwhile, the Tiggo 8 Pro KunPeng e+ is slated to go on sale in May 2022.
