When it comes to base variants, a lot of the common misconception is that they seem too barebones with some features being omitted or having a smaller, underpowered engine. However, you shouldn’t put aside the base Mazda 3 as it shows the real essence of a base-level car – it can be pretty fun.

Okay, there’s the Honda Civic which comes with a turbocharged engine and more features for far less but that’s like comparing a Wagyu beef steak with a Ramly beef patty. Both are good but one feels more exquisite than the other.

Being the base variant means some features are omitted like powered leather seats, ADAS, and parking sensors. You can check out the Mazda 3 up close at the Carlist.my Drive Auto Fair at the Setia Alam Convention Centre from 1-3 September 2023, Friday to Saturday, from 10 am to 8 pm.
