BMW Malaysia has released the updated price list for 2021 with a few notable changes. Prices have fluctuated for some models while some remained the same, like the BMW 218i Gran Coupe and BMW X1 sDrive 18i.

Here’s the interesting part – the prior 5-year warranty and service package is now optional; standard is a 2-year warranty without free service. This means prices have dropped across the board with the standard 2-year warranty, but goes back to the same price as before should customers opt for the extended warranty and service package.

For example, the BMW 218i Gran Coupe is priced at RM 199,177 (OTR without insurance, with SST exemption) with the standard 2-year warranty. Opt for the 5-year warranty with free service package, which costs RM 12,190, and it goes back to the launch price of RM 211,367.

However, prices of some models have seen changes as mentioned earlier. Taking the G20 BMW 3 Series as an example, price with SST exemption in place back in 2020 was RM 241,794 for the 320i Sport and RM 286,187 for the 330i M Sport.

For 2021, the BMW 320i Sport is priced at RM 239,883 and the BMW 330i M Sport is priced at RM 284,332. This would indicate a drop in price of about RM 1.8k.

Models like the BMW X1 sDrive20i and X3 xDrive30i M Sport have been updated with the Driving Assistant package that includes Front Collision Warning with Brake Intervention (AEB) and Lane Departure Warning. The update has bumped the price up by RM 5,000.
