BMW Indonesia has launched the 2021 BMW 5 Series facelift (LCI). Two variants of the BMW 5 Series LCI are available in Indonesia – 520i M Sport and 530i Opulence priced at Rp 1,109m and Rp 1,279m respectively.

Exterior kit in the 520i M Sport include BMW Laserlight, 19-inch M Y-spoke Style 845 wheels, and of course the M Sport exterior treatment. The 530i Opulence gets Luxury Line trim, 19-inch W-spoke Style 663 wheels, and the Laserlight as well.

Both are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine albeit with different outputs – 184 PS/290 Nm in the 520i and 252 PS/350 Nm in the 530i. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Both feature the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with two 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment, which runs on BMW OS 7. The 520i gets the 12-speaker HiFi sound system while the 530i gets the 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system.

Parking Assistant and Reversing Assistant is available in both variants, whereas only the 530i has the Driving Assistant package that includes:

• Lane Departure Warning
• Lane Change Warning
• Front Collision Warning with Brake Intervention (AEB)
• Rear Collision Prevention
• Crossing Traffic Warning at the Rear

Back in Malaysia, the G30 2021 BMW 5 Series facelift (LCI) has been previewed in Malaysia and orders are opened. Estimated prices are RM 343,000 and RM 396,000 for the 530e and 530i respectively. The official launch is expected to happen in the near future.
