First unveiled last year at the Chengdu Auto Show 2023, the 2-seater BEV roadster features striking touch-to-operate falcon wing doors and a retractable soft top roof. Brandishing sleek styling, a long front bonnet, and compact overall proportions, the Cyberster also pays homage to MGβs classic roadsters of the 50s and 60s β most notably the MG A and MG B models.
The Cyberster features two main variants, a single-motor (RWD) and dual-motor AWD version. The single motor (RWD) variant will offer 340PS and 475 NM, allowing it to complete the 0-100km/h sprint in 5.2 seconds.
The dual-motor AWD variant is the most powerful MG yet, with an output of 544 PS and 725 Nm, enabling it to achieve 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
Based on parent-company SAIC's (BEV) Modular Scalable Platform, which also underpins the MG4, the Cyberster RWD variant will feature a 64 kWh battery, whilst the AWD variant features a 77 kWh battery, which offers a driving range of up to 445 km.

With a wheelbase of 2,689 mm, it's also a bit longer between the wheels than the MX-5 (at 2,310 mm).
Sales of the MG Cyberster started in China in November 2023 with prices ranging between RMB 319,900 (~RM 212k) and RMB 359,800 (~RM 238k).
