![Neta says Hello Indonesia - Signs CKD EVs deal with Chery's contract manufacturer, starting Q2 2024 01]()
Neta is jumping into Indonesia – the largest car market in the region, with 1,048,040 units sold last year – two feet in. Ahead of the Chinese EV marque’s Indonesian launch at this week’s Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the company announced that it has signed an MoU to appoint PT Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) as its locally assembly (CKD) partner.
CKD production will start in Q2 2024. No specific models were mentioned but Neta already sells the Neta V in Thailand and Malaysia, (but deliveries in Malaysia have yet to start).

In China, the facelifted Neta V has since been renamed into the Neta Aya.

Handal Indonesia Motor is also the contract manufacturer for Chery in Indonesia, producing the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 8 Pro, and Omoda 5 at its Bekasi plant in West Java. The plant was formerly known as PT Hyundai Indonesia Motor, before Hyundai established its own wholly owned manufacturing company PT Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI) in Cikarang.

Closer to home, GoAuto's sister-company Intro Synergy is selling the China-made (CBU) Neta V for RM 99,800. The 38.5 kWh battery powers a 95 PS / 150 PS motor, enough for 384 km range (NEDC).
DC fast charging is done via a CCS2 port, accepting up to 100 kW, charging the battery from 30-percent to 80-percent state-of-charge (SoC) in just 30 minutes. AC charging goes up to 6.6 kW.
