Several units of the 2023 Honda City facelift have already been spotted on a trailer in the country, presumeably heading to showrooms, as evident in a posting by social media user Firdaus Pudud.
The red cars – most of which seems to be the RS e:HEV hybrid variant – have no camouflage whatsoever, confirming the breadth of exterior updates that encapsulate new front- and rear bumpers, new wheels, and the RS badge in a fresh style.

Besides the revised design, Honda Malaysia has confirmed that the car's Honda Sensing suite of ADAS will see two new features added to it as well: Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN), and Low Speed Follow (LSF).

These are in addition to the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Auto High Beam (AHB) that Sensing-equipped cars already have.
The powertrains will remain unchanged – featuring the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC that makes 121 PS / 145 Nm, paired to a CVT-type automatic transmission, as well as a 1.5-litre two-motor full-hybrid that makes 109 PS / 253 Nm.
Bookings for the 2023 Honda City facelift in Malaysia have been open since last week, ahead of its soon-to-happen launch.
Prices will have to wait till launch, but this is how the current range is priced:
- Honda City 1.5L S – RM 77,600
- Honda City 1.5L E – RM 85,600
- Honda City 1.5L V – RM 90,600
- Honda City 1.5L V Sensing – RM 94,600
- Honda City 1.5L RS – RM 108,800
