The Hari Malaysia exhibition is a collaboration between Publika and the National Archives of Malaysia. Among all, the 1951 Nash Rambler is particularly eye-catching.

The story behind the 1951 Nash Rambler

The 1951 Nash Rambler: A car you should know during the Malaysia Day 01

This is a 1951 Nash Rambler convertible bearing the number plate M4442.

The car was found in Ohio, United States and bought from a sum of RM 171,000. Besides being the very car Tunku rode in Melaka, the car had been used in The Adventures of Superman TV series.

Fun Fact

The original car bearing the number plate M4442 which Tunku rode on could not be traced after a check with the Road Transport Department.

It belonged to a Malaccan who volunteered to drive Tunku and the other VIPs to the Padang Pahlawan in Bandar Hilir to announce the date of Merdeka (watch the video below).
