The concern with the front driver airbag housing generator is caused by the deterioration of the generator’s propellant due to high air humidity and temperature fluctuations over a long period. This could lead to potential injury to the driver and passenger.
VPCM has taken the necessary steps with its dealer partners to ensure parts availability and that the recall is conducted smoothly and efficiently, and the nationwide recall will be carried out in phases to manage the number of cases.

All notifications to identified owners, based on the Volkswagen database will be conducted by email and WhatsApp, and customers who purchased a used vehicle are advised to urgently contact the nearest Volkswagen-authorised dealer for verification.
Alternatively, owners can visit the VPCM Service Action website, and key in their 17-digit VIN number (found at the bottom left of their vehicle’s windscreen) to check if their vehicle is involved in the recall.
All labour and replacement parts for the recall exercise will be at NO COST to owners.
Arvind can't remember a time when he didn't wheel around a HotWheels car. This love evolved into an interest in Tamiya and RC cars and finally the real deal 1:1 scale stuff. Passion finally lead to formal training in Mechanical Engineering. Instead of the bigger picture, he obsesses with the final drive ratio and spring rates of cars and spends the weekends wondering why a Perodua Myvi is so fast.
