The Volkswagen Jetta is sharply styled, crisp, but conservative, too with the broad themes haven’t much changed. It’s still a classic sedan shape with sharper lines on the hood and across the body sides to feign interest.

The Volkswagen Jetta provides a sophisticated design with customizable ambient interior lighting, a fully digital gauge cluster and ventilated front seats. There’s ample head and legroom in both rows caters to the driver and boasts excellent outward visibility.

Rear seats provide ample of leg room with 60/40 split-folding rear seat to improve cargo area for the 510 litres of storage space in its trunk. Storage includes useful door pockets and a deep centre-console bin. The materials are of good quality and soft to the touch.

However, harder plastics on frequent-contact surfaces such as the doors and centre console are noticeable. Other available features such an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry and remote start.

The Volkswagen Jetta earned a five-star rating safety and standard advanced safety features such as rear-view camera, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

The Volkswagen Jetta features a responsive touchscreen infotainment smartphone mirroring system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability on a standard infotainment features a 6.5-inch touch screen, a Wi-Fi hot spot, two USB ports and a four-speaker stereo. 

Optional infotainment features an 8-inch touch screen that features the new MIB3 software for quicker processing times and enhanced performance for voice recognition and navigation, wireless device charging and an eight-speaker stereo.

The Volkswagen Jetta comes standard with a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine rated at 147 horsepower at 5,000 RPM and 250 Nm of torque at 1,500 RPM. 

Every Jetta powers the front wheels with a turbocharged four-cylinder mated with an eight-speed automatic which delivers smooth and timely shifts. 

Jetta uses a torsion-beam rear suspension that’s simpler and less expensive setup for twisty roads and available adaptive dampers toggle between normal and sportier stiffness with decent results.

The Volkswagen Jetta base four-cylinder engine propel 0 – 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds. There’s little steering feel or feedback from the road, and handling is quite impressive. Instead, the focus is on ride comfort that delivers a stable and composed experience.

This Volkswagen Jetta isn’t particularly athletic as its focus more on comfortable and quiet ride. Its light steering is effortless but lacks a feeling of precision, but it travels smoothly and confidently over bumps and uneven pavement.
