audi rs7 import Q&A Review

Is an Audi RS7 sedan just as luxurious as a Rolls-Royce or Bentley, but for half the price?

No. I’ll split this up into three parts for you. Driving Experience:, The RS7 is a performance car, made to attack roads at high speeds and even in the most severe weather conditions. But because it’s an Audi and is a higher end model, it has a lot of luxurious functions and features. Bentley and Rolls Royce cars are completely different cars. All Bentleys are somewhat sporty cars focused on luxury with a high end designer brand name (Think of it like rolling around in a Gucci car). But the weight of the Bentley is so much to the point where it’s not really fun to drive around in one, and you really have to maneuver the car around properly. The Rolls Royce is something completely different. It’s a car for those who use it as plainly a transportation vehicle. There’s no big Bentley W12 or Audi V8 in there to rev out every few seconds. It’s a car for the supreme to get from point A to point B with the most comfort. The steering is super light and the car is made to be incredibly easy to drive. There is no performance obligation with the Rolls Royce at all. Hence the tachometer on the Rolls looks like this. Instead of idle rpm, it’s 100% power reserved, which means you have 100% of your powertrain available for you to dispose. You’re a b/millionaire that needs to take care of your 26 businesses. You’re not going to give a shit about the rpm at which your car makes its full power-band, you just want to know how much % of power you can still send to the wheels in case you made a bad call with the mafia and they’re on your tail. Luxury: The Bentley and the Rolls Royce both use extreme high quality leathers that are skinned off of some of the most exotic animals and use woods from the most exotic trees. Sitting in a Bentley or a Rolls Royce is like sitting in your own personal million dollar home living room. It’s incredibly comfortable and exclusive. This is not saying that the Audi isn’t luxurious, but the materials in the Audi are dirt compared to the materials used in the handcrafted Bentley/Rolls Royce. The brand recognition of a Bentley/Rolls Royce is far superior to a Audi RS7, and that’s pretty important. Unless you’re really into cars, you won’t know the difference between a RS7 and a modified A7 Diesel. Think of it like speaking to someone about your car. “I drive an Audi”, people won’t be able to tell whether you’re driving a base model A3 or a high end RS7. But then again you can say “I drive an Audi RS7”, but if the person you’re speaking to isn’t into cars, he/she won’t know what that is. Compare this to saying “I drive a Bentley/Rolls Royce”. People will be intrigued and envious that you’re successful enough to drive one of those cars. Brand recognition is probably worth 30% of a Bentley/Rolls Royce’s value. I’ll give you one thing though, ,there is a lot of cool smart tech that makes your life a lot easier when you’re driving an RS7. But tech doesn’t necessarily make your car luxurious. I guess it’s comfortable, but it’s not as comfortable as a luxury-focused car like the Bentley/Rolls. It’s made to conquer the roads and destroy any supercar that dares to race it.

How do Americans rank Benz, BMW, Audi, and Porsche in the order of social status?

Porsche Mercedes BMW Audi Although the model and year of car is more important than just the brand. A 2019 Audi RS7 has higher status than a 1983 Porsche 924.

All things considered, should I buy an Audi RS7 or a BMW Alpina B7?

Hmm, thing is that the RS7 is more of a rival to the M6 Gran Coupe. Also, the B7 is a diesel as far as I know. I suppose it depends on what you want from it, since BMW X drive is available on the 7 series and is one of the best AWD systems on the market so the Quattro argument is now redundant. Personally, I would go for the B7, or 750/60Li, or M6 GC over an Audi any day of the week. But it is mostly personal preference. Audis are known to have heavy, dead feeling steering wheels with no actual feedback from the road (something I hate since I love driving and the feel of the bond between car and road is very important for pushing the car to its limits). I am also not a fan of Audi interiors as they use cheap materials, a lot of items are literally just bought over from the VW counterpart so they are non-luxury and personally I find them to be simple and clean, but also dull and boring. My favourite BMW interior at the moment is that of the BMW M6. Audi RS7 2017 interior BMW M6 interior Alpina B7 interior The reason I focus on the interior is and handling is that those are the two main distinguishable features between the cars. The 7 series will be available with slightly more gadgets and comforts (something the Audi A8 will make up for) and so it will be the most comfortable and luxurious. The M6 and RS7 have similar performance stats (except the RS7 has faster acceleration due to AWD compared to the BMW’s RWD) and they get similar fuel efficiency. The B7 gets significantly better mileage than all of the options. They are all also very beautiful cars so looks would be down to personal preference. I prefer the smooth curves of the BMWs over the aggressive angles of the Audi. I suggest watching these videos to help with your decision and should also help you gouge what exactly you want from the car, so that you may decide which class you want (gran tourer or luxury limo): I apologise if I come off a little biased towards BMW as, just to reiterate, this is almost wholly a personal preference thing as both cars are immensely good, and I just prefer the BMW.

Why was it important for Tesla to make the Model S and X even faster?

Because they could. And lots of naive car guys think that 0 to 60 is a measure to which car is good or bad. Been happening since I was a kid, and not about to end anytime soon. Its a simple way to get headlines, and get adolescents (and adults acting as adolescents) to think the car is “the best”. Silly I know, but true to the core. Interestingly, electric motors make great torque when they can consume as much current as they have available (ever been on a NYC subway?). So making an electric car accelerate fast isn’t exactly rocket science. They didn’t have to make it faster, but they are competing with expensive sport sedans, like the Audi RS7, which is really fast too. Fact is, accelerating that fast is great, but those Tesla cars handle like boats for the most part. Driven a Model S, and the chassis was not really impressive, nor were the brakes. Straightline acceleration without commensurate handling and braking is a recipe for disaster most of the time, like every 60s muscle car owner will tell you. Its nice that they have that headline grabbing number to get people all hot and bothered, but it was clearly necessary. As a lifelong car guy who has owned tons of stupid fast cars, and driven/ridden in others, it is definitely cool to accelerate that fast, but its only part of performance. My Audi R8 isn’t stupid fast, but the chassis balance, brakes, and ability to accelerate while turning and/or braking is incredible, its almost otherworldly.

Why are Supercars so expensive?

Not always, not all supercars and sedans follow this rule. Some high-preformance sedans (Audi RS7, S63 AMG, etc.), and some luxury sedans (Rolls Royce Phantom, Maybach S600, etc.) They can cost up to £130,000 and £400,000 respectively. These are still sedans, but what makes them expensive is not how fast they go. RS7. Bad-ass, mean looking, 600 horsepower sedan. These sedans could be more expensive than some supercars. The Audi R8 is £115,000, however others cost more , like the Lamborghini Aventador at £350,000 and some even more (LaFerrari at £1,000,000). So what makes them so expensive? Well, the Royce and Maybach speak luxury. Rolls Royce are known for that. The interior is crocodile leather with oak / mahogany dashboards, the glove box keeps your champaign cool, you get heated seats, while enjoying your Bang & Olufsen surround sound stereo. You get the idea. Phantom. So luxury even the HM Queen Elizabeth uses it. How about the others? The Audi and Merc, well they offer a somewhat semi-luxury driving experience with uncompromising performance for the semi-rich without breaking the bank (subjectively). They are perfect to taunt supercar drivers on roads, while still being cocooned in luxury leather and Bang & Olfusen stereo. S63 AMG. For the older, more responsible company founders. Now the supercars. Their manufacturers' sell them expensively, partly just because they can. The branding is important. For example, when you hear Lamborgini, you think of glamorous, Hollywood Boulevard "lifestyled", rich and famous. When you hear Ferrari, you think on the same lines. However, when you hear Audi or BMW, you think of an asshole driver who thinks he made it just because he drives German (subjectively, but stereotypical). Aventador. Like how it looks? Wait until you hear it. Here's the difference. Forget all the numbers. Top speed, acceleration times, horsepower, torque, etc. None of that matters when you drive a car made by Ferrari or Lamborghini, because if an Audi offered more number for cheaper, I know for a fact I would pick the Italian over the German, if I could afford it. 458 Speciale. Possibly the last naturally-aspirated Ferrari V8. Of course, they offer carbon-ceramics brakes as standard (most of them), naturally aspirated engines with massive displacments (not anymore in the not so distant future), carbon fibre body panels, top notch dual clutch transmission, dynamic steering, all that stuff, to make sure you get something to brag about after spending £350,000. And then there's the REALLY expensive ones. The million £ ones. Porsche 918 spyder, Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1. (Forget the Bugatti, Koneigsegg, Lykan, they're on another level.) These 3 cars uses F1 technology, hybrid technology, super-lightweight building techniques (saving grammes with every bolt and screw they use), full carbon bodies and tub (McLaren's best), adaptive aerodynamics (Ferrari are good at this, so it McLaren), etc. These cars are properly quick (2.5 sec 0-100kph), while still offering airbags do they can be driven on roads safely and legally. These cars really DO have a reason to cost much, but a million quid? There must be some money in that sum that belongs to the Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren badge. LaFerrari, P1 and 918 spyder respectively. Hope I answered your question. If not please say so and I will add.

How does the Ferrari FF compare with the Tesla Model S, Porsche Panamera, and other luxury sport sedans?

The Ferrari FF is, arguably, in a class of its own. The FF pretty much does what the Panamera, Bentley Spur Speed, and the RS7, and kicks it up a notch. Performance,: This thing has a large engine. As in very large. As in a 6.3 L V12. That's larger than the RS7 (4.0 L V8) and the Panamera Turbo S (4.8 L V8). Also, the Ferrari makes 651 horsepower, 40 more than the most powerful competitor (RS7, 605 hp). The FF, with it's insane AWD and launch control hits 60 mph in 3.7 seconds (same as the Turbo S). Sure, the RS7 does it quicker in 3.3 seconds. Actually, that's pretty darn quick. I'll give that to the Audi Offroad:, What part of "AWD Ferrari" doesn't scream winter performance. In all seriousness, the FF is a very, very potent sand and snow killing car. It's up there with the GT-R in terms of navigability. To be fair, those are possibly the most important categories. It's a given that the Ferrari has the nicest interior (and it's true), and that it has one of the best trunk spaces (just below the RS7). So to make an unnecessarily long Quora answer short, the Ferrari FF compares with "other luxury sports sedans", and ,surpasses, them. Cheers.

What are the cars available in India as CBU, CKD, SBU?

CBU units (Completely build Units ) The name CBU itself speaks aloud , about itself. Completely built cars are imported via sea route into India. The companies which do not have either a Assembly plant or a platform ,provide cars to the customer by CBU.These cars are imported as the demand for the particular car or brand may be less. Our Indian government charges 120% of the cars expense as a pay to import car via CBU.For example a 10 lakh car imported into India , then the customer is asked to pay 20.4lakhs . This may seem a bit too much ,but this the only way the Indians can encourage those companies to set up a assembly plant in India. Some of the well known CBU units in India Hyundai Santa fe Hyundai Tucson 2016 (expected) Honda CRV Volvo S60 ,XC60 ,S80,XC90 Chevrolet Trialblazer other sports car like Lamborghini , koenisegg ,Ferrari Audi A8 L, S4, S6, RS5, RS7, TT, and R8 CKD (completely knocked down) Completely knocked down units are also technically similar to CBU , but the Car is shipped into India as fragmented parts. This requires a assembly plant in India, thus promoting" Make In India movement". Yet about 60 % of the cost is charged up for importing parts into India. But the companies wanted to offer Cars to their customers at a competitive price so they try to Localize the assembly procedure. This is done by buying certain parts of Car from Indian manufacturers , so the cost of such products does not come under CKD. Some of the CKD cars Benz takes first place in CKD by responding the best to Make in India movement. Benz has achieved 60 % localization in India. It means that 60 % of the parts for their cars are bought from India. For example Force motor supply and assemble their transmission. ,A Mercedes ,C, class assembly plant in pune. BMW India's plant in Chennai, currently, produces 8 cars - 1 Series, 3 Series, 3 Series Gran Turismo, 5 Series, 7 Series, X1, X3 and X5. BMW has achieved 50 % localization in India.Pune-based Force Motors Ltd, which already assembles engines for BMW rival ,Mercedes-Benz,, will now produce engines and gearboxes for BMW. BMW will source door panels and wiring harnesses from Draexlmaier Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd; exhaust systems from Tenneco Automotive India Pvt. Why do people still buy other executive sedans when Tesla Model S is there?

The Ferrari FF is, arguably, in a class of its own. The FF pretty much does what the Panamera, Bentley Spur Speed, and the RS7, and kicks it up a notch. Performance: This thing has a large engine. Is Sirius XM radio service better than Spotify?

For starters, both SiriusXM and Spotify are used for streaming music. Specifically, my mom used to subscribe to SiriusXM Free Trial for 3 months, but now she has Spotify Premium. Spotify I started listening to Spotify since May 2018 for gaming. Spotify is one of the best and the most popular music streaming apps ever made. My classmates listen to Spotify, but not all of them have Premium. My sister hasn’t subscribed to Premium yet, so she listened to Spotify anyway without subscribing to Premium. Pros of Spotify Spotify is the one of the best streaming app for music. They have much affordable subscriptions you can choose. What’s fascinating is that Spotify Premium for students is the cheapest SP membership you can get. It comes with ad-supported Hulu plan and SHOWTIME, which is nice at $5/month. You can listen to any variety of podcasts. If you are a SP subscriber, you’ll listen to your favorite music without being distracted by ads. Spotify has an option to follow anyone to see what music they are listening to. Since that most cars are getting rid of CD Players, Spotify is the best replacement for CD Player if you don’t like to listen to you car’s radio. Apple and YouTube Music work well too. It has a great music library. Cons of Spotify Spotify Premium can be expensive. Lack of lyrical features. It is not available in all countries, which is kinda xenophobic. If you are a free user, you can skip only 6 times. You can’t also turn off shuffle. You cannot listen to the same song in the mobile version of the app. You can only do these both in the computer and console versions of this app. SiriusXM SiriusXM is a satellite radio company that only serves the United States and Canada. Most new cars that are sold both in the United States and Canada have SiriusXM; whether it is standard or optional. Some new cars sold in the United States and Canada don’t have SiriusXM because the car may be outdated which can fall behind modern standards, they may be low end to have satellite radio, or maybe they’re not sold here but imported from continents other than North America. Since we traded my mom’s 2017 Honda Civic LX Sedan in for the 2018 Honda Pilot EX-L AWD on Black Friday 2018, I realized that the Pilot came standard with SiriusXM. Its duration of the trial was 3 months, which ended on February 23rd, 2019. We mostly listen to 90s on 9 because my parents love listening to 90s music to bring their high school and college memories back. Also, the 90s was the best decade to ever exist to be honest although I was born in the 2000s. On August 21st, 2020, we restored SiriusXM to our Pilot. Same duration, 3 months. With that, we mostly listen to 90s on 9 (Ch. 9), Utopia (Ch. 341), 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles (Ch. 11), xL Hip-Hop Nation (Ch. 44), Pop2K (Ch. 10), BPM (Ch. 51), and SiriusXM Hits 1 (Ch. 2). Every time I watch any new car review video on YouTube, most cars played SiriusXM on the radio because of what I have seen in a car’s infotainment system. Not all car review videos that I’ve seen on YouTube have cars sold either in the United States or Canada that are in SiriusXM, but some of them are in AM/FM radio, Apple CarPlay, or Android Auto (mostly Spotify or iHeartRadio). Because of that, these make me think in real life that people who drive newer cars in the United States except for Teslas or low end cars listen to SiriusXM. An example of a car from one of the car review videos I’d seen on YouTube: The screenshot shown above from Doug DeMuro’s 2021 Audi RS7 review shows that the car’s infotainment system is in SiriusXM playing Pop2K because it was selected and highlighted. You can listen to SiriusXM not only at your car, but also at home. Pros of SiriusXM There a plethora stations to enjoy just like cable TV. If you find out that today’s music are boring and overrated, this is the best pick for you. It has a lot of underrated songs that you would enjoy. Most XM channels are completely commercial-free except for sports, news, and talk channels, 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles, and Z100 New York. They may have better sound quality than AM/FM radio even though HD radio is now a thing. Since most rural areas have weaker signals for AM/FM radio, SiriusXM is recommended while driving through rural areas. Since most radio stations are fully censored, SiriusXM has some unedited and uncensored stations to listen to. If you are a parent who wants to keep your child(ren) safe, you have an option to remove all xL stations by contacting SiriusXM. You can make your own ad-free radio stations powered by Pandora. Once you have subscribed to SiriusXM, you can have access to many different videos. They are compatible with Amazon Alexa, especially the cars who have factory-equipped radios with Amazon Alexa. Cons of SiriusXM Like Spotify Premium, SiriusXM can be too expensive, which makes it impractical if you have not-so-good budget. It’s too hard to install for some cars. Some cars have factory car radios that don’t have SiriusXM. You’ll lose signal to SiriusXM if your car drives through tunnels or it’s in your close-sky garage because it is satellite radio. SiriusXM sometimes won’t work in some devices. For example, when you listen to SiriusXM on your Xbox One, the app will stop in seconds. Things I’m not sure about SiriusXM whether it’s a pro or a con If you use AUX or Bluetooth audio, Apple CarPlay, or Android Auto, I don’t think that you’ll lose signal on SiriusXM if your car drives through tunnels or it’s in a close-sky garage. If you’re outside North America, I don’t think that SiriusXM will still work if you import a US-spec or Canada-spec car. Overall and conclusion Both Spotify and SiriusXM are great music-streaming apps. They are both compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa for cars. If you like some convenient and more productive music-streaming app for focus, vibes, or gaming, or some great value, Spotify Premium will be for you. If you like listening to the radio, but you are tired of hearing today’s music just because they’re overrated or maybe AM/FM radio has a poor sound quality or you can’t any perfect local radio station when you’re going on a road trip, SiriusXM will be a perfect option for you.
