The all-electric 2024 BMW iX2 has been launched in Thailand ahead of its slated introduction in Malaysia. The sole iX2 xDrive30 M Sport variant is offered with a sticker price of THB 3.39 million (~RM 450k). A spokesman told Automotive News Europe that BMW will be producing electric hatchbacks and a small SUV in China through its partnership with Great Wall Motor. Toyota has confirmed that the company will discontinue the Mazda 2-based Toyota Yaris in the US by this year. This piece of information first made its rounds via a leaked memo from Toyota to its dealerships, confirming that production of the Yaris for the US market will stop in June 2020. A Toyota spokesperson said, "The Yaris sedan and Yaris Hatchback will not be available for model year 2021. Model year 2020 will be the last year for Yaris in the US."
