Earlier today during Perodua’s media conference, the second Malaysian car maker reiterated that they are capable of launching one all-new model (FMC, full model change in Perodua’s terminology) and two facelift models in one year’s time. Along the lines of El Clásico, the Manchester Derby, and everything else competitive you'll find one more battle that's heating up: the 2022 Honda HR-V vs Toyota Corolla Cross. Time was on Toyota's side; beating the HR-V to showrooms meant that it is a runaway sales success – but oh boy, is Honda out for blood now. Well what do we have here? It appears that the soon-to-be-launched Daihatsu Rocky e:Smart hybrid has been spotted in Malaysia. As seen in the Perodua Ativa中文交流区 (D55L) Facebook group, this particular Rocky was seen wearing minimal camouflage, covering only the emblems. The biggest clue as it being the Rocky e:Smart is the revamped front grille with honeycomb pattern. Look carefully and you'll also spot the 5-lug wheels, unique to the hybrid variant of the Rocky. February has proven to be a productive month for Proton, as the company managed to deliver 11,873 units, capturing an estimated market share of 27.1%. It marks the highest market share for Proton since September 2013. Overall, Proton’s sales in February nearly doubled January 2021’s total of 5,964 units.
