Honda Malaysia has disclosed the distribution of the bookings for the 2024 Honda CR-V across its variants. Topping the list is the V variant, comprising 38 percent of the total bookings.
Following closely is the E variant, making up 31 percent, trailed by the hybrid e:HEV variant at 25 percent. The remaining 6 percent is attributed to the entry-level S variant.
Just last week, Honda Malaysia said it has collected nearly 6,500 bookings for the Honda CR-V since launching the model on 14-December 2023.
Dealers are quoting a waiting period of 4 to 5 months for the highest variant, the CR-V e:HEV RS, priced at RM 195,900. In contrast, the regular VTEC Turbo variants, priced between RM 159,900 and RM 181,900, have a shorter waiting period of 3 months.
Breaking down the registrations (or deliveries) by variant, the V variant, priced at RM 181,900, constitutes 45 percent of total registrations, with the E variant, priced at RM 169,900, following at 30 percent.
The e:HEV RS variant, accounting for 14 percent of total deliveries, experiences a longer waiting period which is explained by the 25 percent of bookings. Meanwhile, the base S variant, priced at RM 159,900, represents 11% of total registrations.
