Honda Malaysia has confirmed the price of the sixth generation, 2024 Honda CR-V e:HEV RS variant will be at RM 195,900. The range topping 2.0 e:HEV RS variant of Honda Malaysia flagship CR-V model is RM 14,000 more expensive than the regular combustion engine 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo CR-V 1.5V variant.

It packs a lot more features than the RM 14k price premium suggests, but the while the V variant is all-wheel drive, the e:HEV RS hybrid is only front-wheel drive.

To recap, the 2024 Honda CR-V was launched in Malaysia in December 2023, but only prices of the 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo variants were available at launch. With the confirmation of the hybrid variant’s price, the 2024 Honda CR-V’s range in Malaysia is as follows:

• CR-V 1.5S: RM 159,900
• CR-V 1.5E: RM 169,900
• CR-V 1.5V: RM 181,900
• CR-V 2.0 e:HEV RS: RM 195,900

The hybrid variant is powered by a 2.0-litre two-motor full-hybrid engine shared with the Honda Civic 2.0 e:HEV RS. It makes 184 PS / 335 Nm, paired to a belt-less E-CVT-type automatic transmission.

Claimed fuel consumption is 5.0-litre/100 km (20 km/litre), versus the regular 1.5 VTEC Turbo's 7.0- to 7.5-litre/100 km (13.3 to 14.3 km/litre), depending on variant. The figures are based on the NEDC test cycle.

Apart from the sportier RS styling package, the hybrid variant also gets a larger 10.2-inch instrument panel (versus 7-inch in the regular CR-V variants), 12-speaker Bose audio, noise reducing resonator wheels, and Head-up Display.
