One of the most highly anticipated cars launching in Malaysia this year, the all-new 2023 Honda CR-V will be making its entry in December. Not only did Honda Malaysia announce the opening of pre-orders nationwide but it has also released a teaser video.
The most obvious highlight in the video is the hybrid powertrain which is hinted at by the glowing blue Honda badge. For the first time ever in Malaysia, the popular C-segment SUV will be offered with a hybrid unit – a 2.0-litre 2-motor i-MMD petrol-electric hybrid that makes a combined output of 184 PS/335 Nm.

The upcoming Malaysian-spec CR-V will also be available with a turbocharged 1.5-litre VTEC engine which in turn makes 192 PS and 240 Nm. The turbocharged variant is offered with Honda’s Real Time AWD system.
Besides the engine, the video also shows off the 6th-gen’s bold styling which includes the 18-inch Berlina Black wheels. This wheel design is only offered for the top-of-the-range e:HEV RS variant which is the only variant Honda has announced thus far.
