Just last week, we reported that Honda Philippines has discontinued sales of the Honda Jazz in anticipation of the 2021 Honda City Hatchback’s launch. Sure enough, the hatch is now on sale and the Philippines is the first market to get the City Hatchback in its left-hand-drive guise.

Like in Indonesia, Honda Philippines is offering the City Hatchback in only the RS variant. Hence the sportier body kit, gloss black highlights, and 2-tone wheels. 

On the inside, the hatch mirrors the City RS sedan’s features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The red highlights on the seats, dashboard, and steering wheel are also present to remind you that this is the RS variant.

Safety equipment-wise, the City Hatchback gets the standard VSA with Agile Handling Assist (AHA) and 6-airbag. Still no ADAS for the City Hatchback.

The City Hatchback in the Philippines will be powered by a 1.5-litre DOHC naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 121 PS and 145 Nm. The hatch comes with only a CVT. 

The Honda City Hatchback RS in Philippines is priced at PHP 1,115,000 (RM 95k). That’s about PHP 57,000 (RM 4,839) more than the City RS sedan’s PHP 1,058,000 (RM 90k) price tag!
