While its Southeast Asian neighbours offer the Honda City Hatchback, Singapore is the only market in the region that offers the fourth-generation Honda Jazz and just recently, the facelift has been introduced in the island state.
Fully imported (CBU) from Japan, the Singapore-spec Jazz facelift is available in three variants:
Crosstar e:HEV 1.5 Dual Tone – SGD 146,999 (~RM 487k)
Luxe e:HEV 1.5 – SGD 147,999 (~RM 490k)
The Jazz facelift went on sale in Japan in September 2022 where it is called the Honda Fit though the exciting-looking RS variant remains on the docks in Japan.
The Jazz facelift is a much-needed update for the B-segment hatchback over in Japan as buyers didn’t quite accept the pre-facelift’s grille-less front-end design.
The introduction of the Crosstar to the Jazz line-up in Singapore meanwhile likely stems from buyers’ appreciation for crossovers in the little red dot. The Crosstar variant was previously only available via parallel importers so this is the first time Kah Motors, Honda’s Singaporean distributor is bringing the jacked-up Jazz officially.
All variants of the Singapore-spec Jazz facelift are powered by a 1.5-litre i-MMD petrol-electric engine that is also found in the RS variants of the City and City Hatchback. The 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated i-VTEC DOHC engine (106 PS/127 Nm) is aided by a 90-kW electric motor with up to 253 Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, the Jazz pre-facelift is still listed on Honda Singapore’s website which is, in turn, available with 3 variants as well:
Base 1.5 DOHC i-VTEC – SGD 141,999 (~RM 471k)
Home 1.5 DOHC i-VTEC – SGD 143,999 (~RM 477k)
e:HEV – SGD 145,999 (~RM 484k)
The pre-facelift’s petrol variants are powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre engine that makes 121 PS and 145 Nm and paired with a CVT automatic gearbox – much like the City and City Hatchback in Malaysia.
Standard features across the Jazz e:HEV facelift include LED headlights and taillights, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay as well as the Honda Sensing ADAS suite which comes with:
