The 2025 Honda Civic facelift has been unveiled following a tease earlier this year. The new model features subtle design updates, upgraded tech, and, for the US market, the availability of the 2.0-litre e:HEV hybrid powertrain.
Sales of the updated sedan begin in June 2024 in the US, with other markets expected to follow thereafter.
A key highlight is that Honda will also offer the two-motor full-hybrid Civic e:HEV for the US-market for the first time. Available in both sedan and hatchback, it delivers an output of 203 PS and 315 Nm. Power is slightly higher than the Malaysian marketβs 184 PS, but the torque output remains the same.
The hybrid models are expected to account for about 40 percent of Civic sales in the US; billed as the most powerful non-Type R Civic to be offered in the US market.
As for design, the Civic facelift features a new six-point grille that gives the vehicle a more aggressive stance. Additionally, the new bumper design incorporates a hexagonal lower air intake and thin vertical side strakes.
Hybrid variants stand out with body-color headlight garnishes and a lower lip spoiler. At the rear, the sedan boasts a darker finish for its tail-light covers.

New colors and some trims will receive new alloy wheel designs, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.
Inside, hybrid variants now offer a gray interior color option. The Sport Hybrid sedan variant in the US market will also come with a moonroof, heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control.
The Civic facelift sees improvements in technology and infotainment features. All models now feature front USB-C ports, and a larger 9-inch touchscreen interface is now standard, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
One of the most notable tech upgrades is the integration of Google built-in on selected US-market variants, though it remains to be seen if other markets will also get the feature. With Google Assistant, drivers can use voice commands to make calls, send texts, set reminders, and control the car's AC settings.
Rounding off the key highlights is the improved Honda Sensing ADAS suite, which features the current list of features β notably the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), LKAS, and ACC β as well as the addition of Blind Spot with Rear Cross Traffic Alert now on selected variants.
Currently, Honda Malaysia sells the (FE) Honda Civic priced as follows:
Arvind can't remember a time when he didn't wheel around a HotWheels car. This love evolved into an interest in Tamiya and RC cars and finally the real deal 1:1 scale stuff. Passion finally lead to formal training in Mechanical Engineering. Instead of the bigger picture, he obsesses with the final drive ratio and spring rates of cars and spends the weekends wondering why a Perodua Myvi is so fast.
