The Mitsubishi Xpander just hit a record in Vietnam, being crowned as the No.1 car overall.
In less than two months since the 2022 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift was released in Vietnam, it has sold 2,771 units in July according to Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) statistics.
With this result, not only the Mitsubishi Xpander remains the best-selling MPV but it’s also the best-selling vehicle of the same month.
According to the data published by Vietnamese media, the second best-selling MPV of the same month is the Toyota Veloz Cross selling 1,395 vehicles.
However, even after adding the sales of its competitors, it is still not equal to the number of Xpanders sold. It's no wonder the Xpander is able be the No.1 car in Vietnam.
Moreover, this is not the only time the Mitsubishi Xpander outsold its competitors in Vietnam. In January 2021, the Mitsubishi Xpander outsold the Toyota Avanza.
While Mitsubishi Xpander is crowned as the No.1 car overall in Vietnam, the Hyundai Accent is the second but it’s not a close gap at merely 1,348 vehicles.
Although the Mitsubishi Xpander remains the best-selling MPV, what’s more notable is the fact that the current Xpander bookings will only last until October and November. This means that if not for supply shortage, the Xpander will sell a lot more than 2,771 units.
The number of vehicles sold is one of the most important factors proving the success of a car model in a market. It’s clear that the 2022 Mitsubishi Xpander is very well-received by the customers in Vietnam so much so that under two months, they are the No.1 car in the market.
Here's a recap of what’s new in the 2022 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift for the Vietnam market – a new Dynamic Shield in front with redesigned front and rear LED lights and new wheels.
Interior wise, it’s redesigned for a more modern-day design. A new 3-spoke steering wheel, redesigned dashboard and redesigned climate controls with a display, a floating 9-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (which is already available to us in our Xpander thanks to Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia).
