Honda has officially revealed the prices and specifications for the upcoming 2023 Honda WR-Vin Japan, prior to its proper launch there on 22-March 2024.
Prices of the JP-spec WR-V
As expected and most importantly, the WR-V will be available in three variants, as below:
WR-V X: JPY 2,098,000 (~RM 68k)
WR-V Z: JPY 2,349,600 (~RM 74k)
WR-V Z+: JPY 2,489,300 (~RM 81k)
This is quite a fair bit cheaper than the slightly more upmarket Honda Vezel (HR-V for us), which goes from JPY 2,399,100 (~RM 78k) to JPY 3,001,900 (~RM 98k).
The Japan-market WR-V features standard LED headlights and LED rear combination tail lights, though higher-tier variants of offer additional exterior enhancements such as larger (17-inch) rims, and additional chrome pieces.
For customers that prefer, there's also a host of factory customisation options by way of the Tough Style set of accessories.
Inside, the WR-V comes with either fabric seats and urethane upholstery (X only) or a combination-material seat with leather upholstery for the pricier ones. A 9-inch infotainment screen is standard fitment, and so is the Honda Connect telematics technology.
Under the hood, the WR-V is driven by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder engine. The naturally-aspirated mill, paired to a CVT, sends 118 PS and 142 Nm of torque to the front-wheels (FWD only).
In terms of safety, the JP-spec WR-V comes with the full suite of Honda Sensing, encompassing these features:
