It’s no secret that Daihatsu Indonesia is working to introduce the Daihatsu Rocky in Indonesia. The model has been spied on Indonesia streets since late last year.

Various details regarding the model have surfaced since then, including potential powertrains and prices.
More recently, another piece of information has surfaced, as Indonesian media has reported that the Indonesian-spec Rocky will receive the Advance Safety Assist (ASA) safety suite, which includes features such as Lane Departure Warning (LCW) and Pre-Collision Braking (PCB).
Anjar Rosjadi, Marketing Product Planning Division Head of Astra Daihatsu Motor said, "With the ASA technology in Daihatsu cars, it can provide a safer and more comfortable feeling, so that customers feel calm when driving. Because for Daihatsu, driving safety and comfort are top priorities."
To recap, the Indonesian Daihatsu Rocky and Toyota Raize said to receive two powertrain options, the first being a turbocharged 1-litre three-cylinder petrol engine (1KR-VET) that does 98 PS and 140 Nm, while the second is a naturally-aspirated 1.2-litre four-cylinder (3NR-VE), outputting 88 PS and 108 Nm.

More interesting are the transmission options, as the Indonesian-spec Rocky and Raize are said to receive a six-speed manual, in addition to a CVT-type automatic.

Closer to home, all variants of the 2021 Perodua Ativa (D55L) are fitted with the ASA 3.0 ADAS suite, encompassing features like Pre-Collision Braking (PCB), Pre-Collision Warning (PCW), Pedal Misoperation Control (PMC), Front Departure Alert (FDA), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). Upper variants add features like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Control (LKC), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Adaptive headlights (Adaptive Driving Beam).
