Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) launched the 992-generation 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS in Malaysia. Base price starts from RM 2,630,000 before options, inclusive of duty but excludes registration fee, road tax and insurance.

Powered by a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine, the 911 GT3 RS boasts 525 PS and 465 Nm of torque, coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a shorter final drive ratio. 0-100 km/h sprint is achieved in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 296 km/h.

owever, it's the car's agility through corners and advanced aerodynamics that truly set it apart. The 992-generation 911 GT3 RS generates double the downforce of its predecessor and three times that of the current 911 GT3. The Drag Reduction System (DRS) optimizes speed on straight stretches, enhancing adaptability on the track.

Even the suspension system is optimised for aerodynamics. The vehicle's components, including the double-wishbone front axle, contribute to an enhanced downforce of approximately 40 kg on the front axle at top speed.

Users have individual compression and rebound damping adjustments for the suspension accessible on the go. The rotary controls on the steering wheel enable dynamic fine-tuning, while the rear differential's responsiveness can be adjusted to match.

The usage of carbon fibre elements, including doors, front wings, roof, front lid, and bucket seats, offsets the weight of high-performance technology. Overall, the 911 GT3 RS registers a weight of 1,450 kg, merely 15 kg above the standard GT3, contingent upon specifications.

Stopping power is provided by aluminium monobloc fixed-calliper brakes with six pistons each and brake discs with a diameter of 408 mm at the front, 380-mm brake discs and four-piston fixed-calliper brakes at the rear.

Customers can opt for the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) that has 410-mm rotors at the front axle and 390-mm at the rear axle.

The new 911 GT3 RS comes standard with forged light-alloy centre-lock wheels, wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres measuring 275/35 R 20 at the front and 335/30 R21 at the rear.

Customers can also opt for two packages - the Clubsport package or Weissach package. The Clubsport package, offered at no additional cost, presents a steel rollover bar, a hand-held fire extinguisher, and six-point seat belts for the driver.

For those seeking the pinnacle of performance, the Weissach package includes carbon-weave finishes on various components, PDK shift paddles with magnet technology, and even magnesium forged wheels to save an additional eight kilograms.
