Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe, priced at RM 469,888 (on-the-road without insurance) and comes fully-imported (CBU) from Germany.

Local assembly (CKD) is in the works, the company said, due sometime next year.

Powering the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 Coupe is a mild-hybrid (MHEV) system that comprises of a turbocharged 2.0-litre inline-4 petrol engine that makes 258 PS and 400 Nm and a 48V motor-generator which adds 23 PS and 200 Nm.

Drive is sent to all 4 wheels via a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission. 0-100 km/h sprint is completed in 6.3 seconds.

Equipment wise, it mirrors the standard body GLC 300 with the AMG Line exterior package. Adaptive Digital Light LED headlights and 20-inch wheels come as standard.

Inside, there's an 11.9-inch portrait infotainment display and a 12.3-inch widescreen digital instrument cluster that runs on the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX). Audio is provided by the Burmester 3D surround sound system with 15 speakers.

Other features include dual-zone automatic climate control, Artico man-made leather upholstery on the seats and dashboard, powered front seats with memory function, wireless charger, 64-colour ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, and hand-free access for the tailgate.

Like the regular GLC, there’s an offroad drive mode and a camera feature that allows one to ‘see-through’ under the hood when tackling tough terrains.

As for driver assistance features, there’s no mention of adaptive cruise control, but the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 Coupe does get:

• Active Blind Spot Assist (BSM)
• Active Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
• Active Brake Assist (AEB)
• Active Parking Assist with Parktronic
