![KLIA Aerotrain still out of service, BMW i7 steps in with private transfers - check if you are eligible 01]()
The KLIA Terminal 1’s Aerotrain service has been out of service since March 2023. Aerotrain service will only resume by March 2025. Explaining how we ended up in this situation is beyond the scope of this website, but you may be interested to know that a fleet of fully electric BMW i7s will be stepping in to assist in passenger transfers.
Starting 1-February, passengers of Malaysian Airlines holding Enrich Platinum frequent flier status, or those flying in Business Suite / Business Class, will enjoy private transfer between the Main Terminal Building and Satellite Building of KLIA Terminal 1.

Eligible passengers can get their limousine pick-up service from Gate G1 of the Main Terminal Building. The ride is not shared but for friends and families who wish to travel together, up to 4 passengers can be chauffeured in one BMW i7.
The fleet of BMW i7s will be provided by BMW Malaysia, via their dealer partner Ingress Auto.

The 24-hour limousine transfer service will run in parallel with the regular bus transport provided by KLIA.
The BMW i7 is a fully electric variant of the plug-in hybrid BMW 7 Series.
The i7 / 7 Series range in Malaysia are priced as follows:
- 750e xDrive Pure Excellence: RM 656,300
- 750e xDrive M Sport: RM 713,400
- i7 xDrive60 M Sport: RM 742,950
Prices are inclusive of 5-year extended warranty and service package. The 750e plug-in hybrid is locally assembled at Kulim, while the fully electric i7 is imported from Germany.
In 2010, Porsche Malaysia did a similar service for 3 and a half months, with a fleet of Porsche Panamera, for First Class passengers and holders of Enrich Platinum card.
