Honda Malaysia has revealed that it will launch 4 new models in 2023. One of those quartets is likely to be the all-new 6th-generation Honda CR-V which made its regional debut in Thailand in March.
Recently, a Facebook user who goes by KeVin Leong uploaded a photo of a heavily camouflaged Honda CR-V in what appears to be around Pahang. Comments on the post have mentioned that similar camo’d units were spotted around Muadzam Shah in the southern part of the state.
This isn’t the first time that the all-new CR-V has been spotted on Malaysian roads as one was previously spotted around March.
The all-new CR-V is available in Thailand with two powertrain options across 5 variants priced between THB 1.419 million and THB 1.729 million (~RM 186k-227k). Thai customers get to choose between a turbocharged 1.5-litre VTEC engine (192 PS/240 Nm) or a 2.0-litre two-motor i-MMD petrol-electric hybrid (Combined 185 PS/335 Nm).
Standard on the Thai-spec CR-V include LED headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 9-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as 8 speakers.
Honda Sensing is also available as standard on the all-new CR-V in the Land of Smiles which include:
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW)
Automatic High Beam (AHB)
Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-speed Follow (ACC with LSF)
Prices for the all-new CR-V in Thailand have gone up by around 4.4 percent compared to the previous generation. As such, that price hike should also be expected once the sixth-gen model makes an appearance in Malaysia given the weakening ringgit.
