This is the new 2021 Suzuki Swift and it's coming to Malaysia soon!

At the ongoing 2021 Bangkok International Motor Show, Suzuki Motor Thailand is showcasing its entire line-up of vehicles, including the recently-updated 2021 Suzuki Swift facelift.
Visually, you’ll be hard-pressed to tell the pre-facelift model from the facelift model apart – it’s that subtle. Changes include restyled 16-inch alloy wheels and a revised front grille. Blink and you’ll miss it.
Inside, upper variants get a new 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, as well as a new reverse camera.
Power comes from a naturally-aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine that does 83 PS and 108 Nm, hooked up to a CVT-type automatic transmission. Engine auto start/stop is also standard across the range, allowing the Swift to return a claimed fuel consumption figure of 4.3-litre/100 km.
The grey car you see here is not the ZC33S-generation Swift Sport. Suzuki Motor Thailand does not sell the Swift Sport in the Kingdom, and this is merely a cosmetics job.
It is upon closer inspection that you’ll notice that this grey car lacks the Swift Sport’s 5-lug wheels, LED projector headlights, and wing mirror-mounted turn signals. The DualJet emblem on the tailgate is also proof that this is not the hot hatch from Suzuki.
Will the Suzuki Swift come back to Malaysia?
We understand that the Suzuki Swift, in its Swift Sport form, will be returning to Malaysia very soon. As for the regular Swift you see here, it's uncertain that it will be offered here. Without local assembly, it’s hard for the new distributor to price the imported Swift competitively against rivals such as the Honda Jazz (soon-to-be replaced by the City Hatchback) and Toyota Yaris.
Apart from the snazzy-looking Swift Sport, what other models are you looking forward to? Perhaps the all-new Suzuki Jimny? Or the cutesy-looking Suzuki Ignis?
