Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), the official importer and distributor of Porsche models in Malaysia, will be virtually unveiling the Porsche 911 (991) Speedster tomorrow, 2 June 2020 at 8:00 pm on Porsche Malaysia's social media platforms.

The Speedster is a send-off to the 991 generation, a last hurrah if you will. It is essentially a topless GT3 and shares the atmospheric 4.0-litre flat-six engine that sings to 9,000 rpm. And it actually makes a tad more power than the GT3, 10 PS more at 510 PS/470 Nm.

More interestingly, the engine is mated to a 6-speed manual. Depending on how fast you can shift, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds. Keep going and it’ll reach a top speed of 310 km/h.
The Speedster pays homage to 356 “No. 1” Roadster from 1948, and is limited to only 1,948 units worldwide.
