BMW Malaysia has launched the locally-assembled (CKD) third-generation (U11) 2023 BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine, priced at RM 259,800 (OTR without insurance, with extended warranty and service package).
It joins the fully-imported (CBU) all-electric BMW iX1 in the model lineup, which was introduced earlier this year in May.
On the exterior, visual cues between the iX1 and X1 lies in the trim difference, as the 2023 BMW X1 sDrive20i wears the xLine trim, highlighted by a kidney grille framed in Pearl Chrome and adorned with gloss black slats.

The flared square wheel arches, paired with 19-inch V-Spoke Style 867 alloy wheels and Matte Aluminium underride protection, evoke the classic BMW X look. Side mirror covers in Glacier Silver and door sill panels with Matte Aluminium branding adds to the distinction.
Under the bonnet lies a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that makes 204 PS/300 Nm. Power goes to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Inside the cabin, the BMW Curved Display takes centre stage, featuring a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch infotainment display, which runs on BMW Operating System 8. The floating armrest creates additional storage space in the centre console, housing the gear selector, volume control, and My Modes button.
The BMW X1 sDrive20i gets the standard Driving Assistant package with Hill Start Assist, Speed Limiter, Attentiveness Assistant, Lane Departure Warning with active steering intervention, Front Collision and Left Turn Warnings with braking function, and the Evasion Assistant.
Customers can choose from five stunning exterior colours: Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Cape York Green, Phytonic Blue, and Space Silver, all complemented by Black Perforated Sensatec upholstery and an M Headliner Anthracite.
From now until October 31, 2023, customers can take advantage of a cash rebate of RM 10,000 when financing the New BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine through the Easy Drive Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia.
This means the New BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine can be owned with a monthly installment plan starting from RM 2,838 (based on estimates of 80 percent loan on a five-year tenure), compared to the original figure of RM 3,015 without the limited-time rebate.
