Following its global debut in February 2023, BMW Malaysia has now launched the facelifted (G06) BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport (LCI) for the Malaysian market.
Improving on the G06 X6 first launched here in 2020, the new 2023 X6 now gets several equipment and tech updates to offer more power, better connectivity and a fresher look.
The main highlight is the introduction of a new 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 48V mild-hybrid technology. The powertrain delivers a combined output of 381 PS and 540 Nm of torque to all four wheels, some 41 PS and 90 Nm more than the outgoing model.
The engine is mated to BMWβs longstanding 8-speed automatic transmission. Performance stats read 5.4 seconds for the 0-100 km/h sprint, with top speed capped at 250 km/h.
On the inside, the cockpit of the 2023 X6 LCI has undergone a complete update, with the BMW Curved Display featuring a 12.3-inch Information Display and a 14.9-inch high-resolution touchscreen Control Display as standard.
The infotainment system comes standard with BMW Live Cockpit Plus, powered by the latest BMW Operating System 8. Elsewhere, the A/C controls have also been redesigned; now nestled under the central AC vents.
Further back, the centre console has also been redesigned, featuring a tidier layout and providing more touch-sensitive function keys. Gear changes are now performed using a rocker switch, placed within the control panel in the centre console alongside the BMW Controller.
Lastly, the 2023 X6 LCI now features active front seat ventilation, rear roller sun blinds and a panoramic glass roof as standard.
Aesthetically, the 2023 X6 LCI features a redesigned front bumper and kidney grille slats with the βIconic Glowβ LED lighting, as well as new headlights which feature the stylised βXβ DRL signature at the front.
Round the sides, the 2023 X6 LCI features new 22-inch Style 747 M light alloy wheels which are complemented by blue M Sport brake callipers.
As for the rear, the 2023 X6 LCI features a new rear bumper design, and redesigned taillights. Additionally, the M Aerodynamic package is included as standard.
As for driver assistance systems, the 2023 X6 LCI features the Driving Assistant Professional which utilises a camera and radar-based assistance system; thus, the 2023 X6 LCI is now capable of Level 2 Partial Driving automation. Additionally, there is Parking Assistant Professional, consisting of a 360-degree camera and Remote Control Parking function.
The 2023 X6 LCI is offered in a range of seven exterior colours and two Merino leather interior finishes - Black or Tartufo.
The 2023 BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport LCI now goes on sale at RM 754,800 inclusive of BMW 5-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service and 5-Year Roadside Assistance Programme.
With the Straight Line Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport can be owned with a monthly instalment starting from RM 8,739 (80% financing / 7-year tenure).
Arvind can't remember a time when he didn't wheel around a HotWheels car. This love evolved into an interest in Tamiya and RC cars and finally the real deal 1:1 scale stuff. Passion finally lead to formal training in Mechanical Engineering. Instead of the bigger picture, he obsesses with the final drive ratio and spring rates of cars and spends the weekends wondering why a Perodua Myvi is so fast.
