The Nissan Almera is quite a looker right out of the box but if you think it lacks a little rice or spice; depending on which camp you’re in, Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has introduced a line of Tomei accessories for the B-segment sedan that’s mostly cosmetic but goes a long way in making it look sharper.

Before you ask, yes it is that Tomei from Japan that makes some proper go-fast bits for performance cars. However, you probably won’t be getting any quicker with the two packages available that cost RM 8,000 each.

Nonetheless, the Tomei packages are currently complimentary with every new Almera purchase for an undisclosed period of time. So, if you’ve been thinking of purchasing a new Almera, now’s probably the time to do it.

These Tomei packages do hark back to the time Nissan made Impul parts available for some of its older models such as the Latio, Sylphy and Grand Livina.

The package for the base VL and mid-range VLP variants comprise of a two-tone bumper with a faux diffuser and side skirts. At the rear, there’s a cool-looking boot lid spoiler that was previously only available with the flagship VLT variant. You’ll also get ICE Cool window tint and alloy sport pedals with the Almera wording etched into it.

If you own a top-spec VLT, the package for it comprises the same aerokit, window tint and sports pedals but also includes some faux carbon door handle protectors, door visors and scuff plates.

Say you aren’t happy that the lower variants now have access to the boot lid spoiler that was exclusive to the VLT prior to this. You can always drop an extra RM 1,400 for a Tomei GT wing. We’ve yet to catch this in the metal but we’re pretty sure some owners will be splurging on this. Bear in mind, the wing isn’t complimentary with new Almera purchases like the core packages are.

All the Tomei accessories sold here will come with a three-year or 100,000 km warranty.
