Bermaz Motor, distributors of Mazda cars in Malaysia, has launched the 2021 Mazda CX-9 Ignite Edition, bringing a raft of technological and styling updates to the model for 2021. Moving forward, all 2021 Mazda CX-9s will receive the Ignite Edition treatment.
Exterior updates to the 2021 Ignite Edition include gloss black door outer mirrors, gloss black finish for the new design front grille and 20-inch black metallic aluminium alloy wheels. The interior features burgundy-colored leather seats and black interior trim on the dash, door panels, and handle bezels.

The Mazda CX-9 Ignite Edition also brings new features in the infotaiment department. It now supports wireless Apple CarPlay along with Android Auto capabilities. In addition to that, there's now a wireless charger and the steering wheel now gets paddle shifters for the 2021 update.
The Mazda CX-9's i-Activsense ADAS suite retains Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Smart City Brake Support. New for the 2021 model are additions like Smart Brake Support and Mazda Radar Cruise Control.

Powering the 2021 CX-9 is the familiar Skyactiv-G 2.5-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (230 PS, 420 Nm) paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain combo comes in both 2WD and AWD flavours. G-Vectoring Control Plus is also standard.

The 2021 Mazda CX-9 Ignite Edition is currently fully imported from Japan. Colour choices include Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Sonic Silver, Deep Crystal Blue, and Jet Black.
Pricing wise, the 2WD version retails for RM 319,847, while the price tag for the AWD one is RM 336,215, with SST discounts applied, valid from now to 31st December 2021.
