Anything else new in the 2020 Mazda CX-9?
There’s a new feature called the Off-Road Traction Assist. It is essentially a more advanced traction control system and replaces the traction control button.
The powertrain remains as before – a 2.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine making 230 PS and 420 Nm of torque. Power is sent to either front or all wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of safety, it gets the Mazda i-Activsense that bundles:
- Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA)
- Smart City Brake Support (now with pedestrian detection support)
- Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist.
The 2020 Mazda CX-9 is covered with a 5-year warranty with 5-year free maintenance. Both the warranty and the free maintenance have a coverage period of 5 years and limited mileage of 100,000 km, whichever comes first.
