Believe it or not, but Ford really does have a dedicated laboratory for studying and creating artificial bird poop. Formulating artificial bird poop is just one of the efforts Ford employs to research how to make car paint resistant to the corrosive elements in bird poop.
We all know that bird poop can cause serious damage when it comes in contact with car paint. This inescapable problem is especially bad for Malaysians as temperature is a major factor of the damage that bird poop can cause to our car paint.
Ford researchers actually did extensive studies on the bird droppings from different types of birds to create these bird dropping samples. As a result, these lab-created bird droppings accurately reflect even the differing diets of birds and levels of acidity.
While Ford car paint has a level of resistance to the damaging effects of bird droppings, it is still not a good idea to leave bird poop on your cars. The paint is formulated to be more resistant to the acid of bird poop but not completely resistant to it, so be sure to wash it off the moment you have access to a hose.
