The Mitsubishi Xpander is a massively popular hit for the three diamonds in Malaysia much like her ASEAN neighbours. Though we will never see the Xpander reaching No.1 overall here, it is the best-selling non-national MPV in the country in 2021.
One of the possible reasons for its success is its affordability and practicality, though the former might see a slight increase in price. A quick check at Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia’s (MMM) pricelist now shows the lone Xpander variant starting from RM 92,350.

That’s an increase of RM 1,000 but the new prices are still exempted from SST until 30-June 2022. The Xpander is locally-assembled (CKD) at the MMC Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. plant in Pekan. The plant is under a joint venture between MMM and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC).
