Looks like the flash flood season is well and truly back. With the flash floods also came the inevitable reports of damaged roads, this particular incident happened in Petaling Jaya and, unfortunately, a Fiat Bravo was caught just when the road was washed apart.
The video of the badly damaged road was uploaded on a Facebook page called Pantas MBPJ. As you can see, the road along Jalan SS4A/1 near the Taman Bahagia LRT Station stretches for at least 300 m.
MBPJ authorities on the scene have confirmed that the cause of the road damage is due to heavy rainfall and flash floods in the area.
At the moment, MBPJ has closed off the entire road to allow the council’s engineering department to carry out the necessary repairs as fast as possible. Residents in the area are encouraged to take alternative routes to avoid the section.
This is not the first time a car has suffered damage caused by bad road conditions. Remember that unfortunate Perodua Myvi that fell into a massive sinkhole near the Hang Tuah LRT station last year?
We hope that the Fiat Bravo owner will find an easier time to claim the car’s insurance to repair the damaged done by the road.
There isnโt a time in memory that doesnโt involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle womenโs magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
