Honda Malaysia introduced the updated 2018 Odyssey seven-seater MPV, which now comes with Honda Sensing advanced driving assistance system features, as well as a few cosmetic updates.

After the CR-V and the Accord, the updated Odyssey becomes the third one in Honda Malaysia's portfolio to get Honda Sensing. The new Odyssey will only be offered in one level: the Honda Odyssey 2.4L EXV – RM254,800 (OTR without insurance).

Above all, the most exciting news about the new Honda Odyssey is the inclusion of Honda Sensing, which includes the following features:

• Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
• Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
• Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
• Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
• Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)

But the Odyssey does not like the CR-V since it does not come with Low-Speed Follow, as the function requires an electric parking brake. The Honda Accord, which also uses a conventional mechanical parking brake, also does not come with Low Speed Follow.

Other features available include:

• Multi-view Camera System
• Smart Parking Assist System
• Blind Spot Information
• Cross Traffic Monitoring
• Six airbags

Compared with the pre-facelift model the new Odyssey tweaked the front fascia, which comprises a new front grille, new bumper, new LED taillights, LED fog lights, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, as well as Auto Retractable Door Mirrors.

As for the inside, new features include:

• Bigger armrest for driver's seat
• 4-Way passenger power seat
• Larger headrests for the Premium Captain Cradle Seats with Ottoman
• Ultra-Low Floor Platform

The new Odyssey equipped with the same powerplant package as before - the Honda’s Earth Dreams 2.4-litre DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine producing 175 PS and 225 Nm, paired to a CVT-type automatic gearbox.

The new Odyssey is imported from Japan with three colour options - Platinum White Pearl (new), Premium Twinkle Black Pearl (new), and Super Platinum Metallic.

Open for booking at all 93 Honda dealers nationwide, the Odyssey offers a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, with a 10,000 km service interval. Honda Malaysia is confident in selling 130 units annually of the Odyssey.
