![Honda tops Toyota in Thailand hybrid sales for 2023; HR-V e:HEV is country's favourite hybrid 01]()
Honda has topped rival Toyota in hybrid sales in Thailand for 2023; delivering a total of 48,208 units between January and December, whilst grabbing a 27 percent market share of the hybrid segment sales within the Kingdom.
The most popular hybrid model in Thailand is the Honda HR-V e:HEV, which garnered sales of 23,631 units, followed by 9,121 units of the Civic e:HEV, and lastly the CR-V e:HEV which recorded sales of 8,921 units despite only going on sale at the end of March 2023.
Hybrid variants of the Honda City sedan, hatchback and Honda Accord 2.0 e:HEV respectively posted another 6,535 units to the final sales tally.

The three main Honda hybrid models edged rival models from Toyota, most notably the Corolla Cross Hybrid, Corolla Altis Hybrid and Innova Zenix Hybrid.
Bolstered by strong performance of their hybrid models, Honda also managed to grow sales ā delivering a total of 94,336 units in 2023 versus 82,842 units in 2022, according to separate reporting by Headlight Mag.

Toyota however, still lead overall in Thailand, with 265,949 units sold in in 2023, inclusive sales of commercial vehicles like Hilux and Hiace - segments that Honda does not compete in. Isuzu (with 151,935 units sales) ranked second, before Honda in third according to the same report.
