The new Stellar Diamond Pearl introduced for the first time on the 2023 Honda WR-V won’t be exclusive to the WR-V alone.
As opposed to certain model highlight colours which are model specific, the Stellar Diamond Pearl could be offered on more upcoming Honda models, depending on customer demand.
Speaking at the WR-V pre-launch press event, Executive Coordinator of Honda Malaysia, Yujiro Sugino said, “For now it is only for WR-V. We will look at customer demand. It is not intended only for the WR-V, but we’ll have to see the demand before offering it on other upcoming models.”
However, given the necessary resources are already put in place at Honda’s Pegoh plant, for the locally assembled WR-V, it makes perfect sense to introduce it on other models to improve their overall economies of scale.
At the soonest, this could mean introducing it on the much-anticipated Honda City facelift, which is likely the next model Honda Malaysia will introduce within this year.
It wouldn’t be the first time either, previously in 2022, Honda Malaysia introduced the Meteoroid Gray and Ignite Red metallic colours for the pre-facelift Honda City, after it was introduced on the City Hatchback, a few months before.
Do you think the Stellar Diamond Pearl colour will look good on the upcoming Honda City facelift?
To recap, the Honda WR-V has officially gone on sale. Five exciting colours are offered on all variants, priced as follows:
1.5 S - RM 89,900
1.5 E - RM 95,900
1.5 V - RM 99,900
1.5 RS - RM 107,900
The Honda WR-V features a 121 PS / 145 Nm 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine paired with a CVT-type automatic transmission.
