SDAC-Ford capped 2023 off with record sales and expansion into East Malaysia

Sime Darby Auto Connexion-Ford (SDAC-Ford) announced that 2023 saw a new sales record for Ford vehicles in Malaysia. 8,858 units of the Ford Ranger and Ford Everest were sold across the country last year.

A key contributing factor to the company’s success is SDAC-Ford’s steady expansion of its dealership network. Last year, it broke ground on the latest RM 12 million Ford Signature dealership in Penang.
The 46,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility located in Jalan Baru, Seberang Prai follows the latest Ford Signature corporate identity. It will feature 16 service bays and 4 vehicle display area with operations to begin by the end of Q2 2024.
SDAC-Ford also significantly expanded its presence across East Malaysia, especially Sabah, the third largest pick-up market in the country. Last year, it opened two key dealerships in the state – Ford Kota Kinabalu (Inanam), Boston Auto Dealership and Ford Kota Kinabalu (Penampang), Rightpower Corporation.
In Sarawak, SDAC-Ford also officially opened the Ford Kota Samarahan dealership which is located within the bustling commercial centre of Kuching. There are now 9 Ford dealerships across East Malaysia, part of a nationwide network of 38 dealers across both sides of Malaysia.

The Ford Ranger also won numerous awards last year including Carlist.my’s People’s Choice Award for the Best Pickup Truck 2023.
