Sime Darby Auto ConneXion launched a new Platinum variant 2023 Ford Ranger. Although the Ford Ranger Platinum is imported (CBU) from Thailand, Malaysia is the first market in Southeast Asia to launch it.

Priced from RM 183,888, the Ranger Platinum is positioned above the Ranger Wildtrak. Mechanically, it’s unchanged from the Wildtrak, powered by the same 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel(210 PS / 500 Nm) paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission with part-time 4WD.

What the Platinum variant adds however, is a set of accessories including:

A new ‘hero’ colour, Equinox Bronze paint colour, previously only available on the Everest, is now available for the Ranger Platinum. Other colour options are Meteor Grey and Absolute Black.

New Ranger Platinum comes with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty, or 160,000 km, whichever comes first. Customers can also opt to extend to a six-year or seven-year or up to 40,000km coverage with the Premium Care extended warranty package (EWP). To enhance the ownership experience further, Ford also offers Extended Service Plan (ESP) packages for both models, tailored to meet specific customer needs.

For a limited period, customers who book the new Ranger Platinum will receive a complimentary Xiaomi Phone Holder with automatic open and close feature will be given upon vehicle delivery. As a special bonus, customers will also receive a Ford Ranger Getaways Discount of RM1,000, which will be received via a promo code at the time of vehicle delivery.
