Hyundai-Sime Darby Motor (HSDM) has just dropped another teaser of the Hyundai Creta, roughly 3 months after the initial teaser was released back in January.
While the Facebook post by HSDM did not mention the model’s name, the photo provides a valuable hint, as it distinctly shows the Creta’s recognizable tail lights.
Sharing its platform with the Kia Seltos, the Hyundai Creta is also a B-segment SUV, one that has its sights set on similarly-sized rivals like the Honda HR-V and Proton X50.
Powertrain options depend on where the Creta is sold. For us in the ASEAN region, the Creta gets a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that does 115 PS and 144 Nm, mated to a CVT automatic transmission that Hyundai calls IVT.
Speaking of the ASEAN region, our Malaysia-bound Creta will likely be imported (CBU) from Hyundai’s plant in Cikarang, Indonesia. The same plant also currently exports the Creta to Thailand.
Apart from the Creta, HSDM is also looking to debut several other new models this year, including the Santa Fe facelifted and Ioniq 6.
