It’s not really a secret and it doesn’t really fit into a stalking category, but the closest I’ve come to stalking anyone on Quora is the famous Stan Hanks (,Stan Hanks,). Urgent Pleas To Save My Boxster It all started when he answered my urgent pleas to save my Porsche Boxster which was having a potential mechanical crisis. Image of Porsche 911 from ,Matti Blume, - ,Porsche 911 No 1000000, 70 Years Porsche Sports Car, Berlin (1X7A3888), - Wikipedia - All Rights Reserved Even though I was a complete stranger, Stan knew exactly the problems I was facing with my car and he had amazing solutions. He didn’t just pat me on the proverbial head and spew some random stuff in order to push me out of the way. No, he took his time to provide names of Porsche experts in my backyard who could and did help me. A Happy Ending My story had a very happy ending with my beautiful baby finding a new home with someone who would love her and care for her appropriately. They even told me I could visit her if I wanted to, but that just be too hard. I am an extremely loyal person. If you ever save my life, literally or figuratively, you may be stuck with me forever. I never forget a kindness and will work the rest of my life to repay it. Heck, I’d give Stan a kidney, a piece of my liver or stand in front of a bullet for him. Not only did Stan help save me from the potential violent death of my Porsche, but he has also inspired me to be a better person in so many areas of my life. I am 100% harmless. Just a very grateful fan. Reading Thousands Of Quora Answers After Stan helped me with my Porsche, I went back and read every single one of the many thousands of answers he’s ever written on Quora since Day One. Trust me, that was no small feat. Then I read them again. I learned so much great information about every imaginable topic that I felt like I had just received a free college degree from Stan Hanks University. Not only do I check Stan’s feed every day to see if he has cool new stuff, but I’ve also talked about him to my current guy and my friends who aren’t even on Quora. The Proof Is In The Stan Hanks Porsche Pudding One day my guy and I were watching a television show and a very rare Porsche was featured in the plot. My guy asked me “what do you know about that Porsche?” I proceeded to spew a ton of information about the car and why it was so rare, what it probably costs and other little unknown details. “How do you know all that stuff about that car?” my guy asked me. “Oh, I said” I read about it on “Stan Hanks’ Quora feed.” My guy laughed and said, “I should have known.” FOMO Listen, if you don’t follow Stan Hanks on Quora you are missing out. Plus you can watch me stalk him in real time. And no, he’s not related to Tom, that actor guy.
Just to counter the inevitable flood of “All rich people drive beater Corollas!” answers: My business means I know quite a few wealthy people. I don't know their whole fleets, but I have some examples, each point from a different person: A brand new BMW 750li, along with a massive (but under construction and thus still empty) garage. A Ferrari 360. An underground garage full of a who's who of literally every major supercar and hypercar brand. An Audi R8, modified enough that Audi reps were there for a photoshoot when I was talking with him. A Porsche 911. Another Porsche 911. Those are just the people whose cars I happen to know about because I happened to see them or they were mentioned in passing. I do not know a single wealthy person who drives an old beater, nor any who value their time so little that they waste it pinching pennies. The difference between wealthy people and non-wealthy people — especially those who claim to speak for wealthy people on Quora — is that non-wealthy people assume that rich people value ,money, highly, whereas in reality they value ,time, highly. As an addendum: A lot of people say stuff like, rich people buy four-year-old cars because you save money. No. ,Upper middle-class people, do that because they save money. ,Rich, people buy new because that saves them ,time,. For example, that guy who drives the BMW 750 probably earns somewhere around fifty thousand dollars an hour. He's not spending $200,000 worth of his time — in the most optimistic possible assessment — comparison-shopping CPO cars so he can save thirty or forty grand.
Picture of Porsche 911 turbo car, ,of my friend, ,in Instagram made me feel like, ,a “non-achiever at life” all of a sudden, ,in the interview waiting room. ,I was sweating in the job interview waiting room despite being in, ,AC and was doing pointless internet browsing using my smartphone. Suddenly my mind and eyes were stuck in Instagram because my friend uploaded his amazing travel picture while driving his new Porsche car in London. I had mixed feelings. I was envious to see the car and simultaneously felt nervous and frightened for upcoming job interview within just a few minutes because I have been already rejected by several employers. I did not want to lose that job. My father had been retired. I desperately needed a job. Life is not fair for everyone. My friend's father is a millionaire and my friend has already traveled several countries and counting. He has joined his father's company, changing models of cars frequently and exploring the world with his abundance of money and dated several girls. On the contrary I am from a middle-class family, single, no family property, no personal car, no bank balance and doing a low paying clerical job, going to bald gradually and struggling with my problems. I know the importance of money., ,That's, ,why I spend money wisely. So, I always avoid branded shops and negotiate with sellers to reduce the price when I buy something. I don't dine out at expensive restaurants. I can't even use Internet 30 days in a month due to financial problems. Sometimes I feel disappointed about my career, then try to walk among hundreds of people in a busy street to escape from this reality. These days, I am not attracted to girls, romance, sex, power and fame. I am just worried about my future. My parents are old now, I need to take the full family responsibility of my family. Hence, I need a better job and thus I am facing several interviews. Now I don't use any social websites (except Quora) because I don't want to inform about my situation to my friends. Here, in a question-answer site like Quora, nobody knows me in real life. I wake up in the early morning, meditate, say my prayer and run 1 km. Besides, I try to help poor children financially despite financial limitations. Basically, I am a selfish person because helping people make me feel good. Admittedly, I help people for myself. I have accepted myself and stopped my comparison with other people. It's okay to be poor. I was born in a middle class family. I know that sometimes you have to accept the fact that you can not control. I am proud of my parents because they did not give me an abundance of wealth but they spent money to educate me. While my father educated me in order to avoid the waste of money and take control of my stuff, my mother taught me to love people unconditionally. I desire to have a better lifestyle. Everyone wants to be happy and rich. Some people get, some people don’t. But I am working hard and pouring in my heart and soul to change my situation. I try to motivate myself every single day, read lots of self-help books and experiment several self help techniques. But at the end of the day, I feel that everything is not OK. Dear Life, Yes, I am poor person, ,and my life is drowning in darkness. But I am building tunnels to reach, ,the light. Photo source : ,2017 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Test | Review | Car and Driver

The 911 GT3 can be compared with Ferrari Portofino, Mclaren 520, and Mercedes-Benz GTS AMG. The 911 Turbo competes with Ferrari 488, Lamborghini Huracan, McLaren 650, and Audi R8.
Oh yes here we go. Let’s go from most sane to most insane. My land yacht, would be the Novitec Rolls Royce Wraith. In addition to turning up the wick on the hulking V12, Novitec has also constructed custom wide fenders and redesigned front and rear fascias. It looks mental and serene at the same time. Next up would be ,my daily beater,, a McLaren 650S. I might opt for the convertible in this scenario, as hearing the high-strung V8 would be a nice plus. This car is comfortable enough to bruise every day, and come on…,butterfly doors,. Come on. Everyone needs a rally car. This would be my ,special occasion and rally car,. I’ve always loved the SLS AMG Black Series, and I have to have it on this list. Honestly, I would probably make any excuse to drive this car. We don’t need to review the specs, because this thing is an insane German monster. ,With gullwing doors yes please,. Obligatory Koenigsegg,. Why not? ,Special edition Agera R, would add the ski box even though I don’t ski., I don’t even know what niche this car would fill, but good lord do I love what those Swedes are doing. Did I say I needed an ,ultra insane car?, Here, have one. There are only six, and they retailed from the manufacturer for three million. What is it? It’s the McLaren P1 LM. Basically, take a Zonda R, turn it up to 11, give it a bigger wing, and make it road legal. It’s kinda insane. Combined secondary market value, - ~$4.7 million EDIT:, Other cars I would consider adding include the Porsche 918 Weissach, the Koenigsegg Regera, the McLaren 688 HS, and the Rolls Royce Phantom Metropolitan Edition. EDIT NO. 2: Ugh!, Can’t believe I forgot some of my favorite cars of yore. I would add to this list a RWB Porsche 911 (1985ish), the McLaren F1 LM, and a LBWorks GT-R. 11/12/2016: “10,000+ people were sent your answer in the Quora Digest.”, I think this is an accomplishment…I’m honored. Thanks for all the support! Cheers :)
My mom died when I was 8 years old. It was a typical morning. She woke up my sister Lisa (5) and me that day for school. My dad was already at work (he was a chemical scientist by day and DJ by night). My sister and I took the bus to school every day. We were only in school for three hours before my dad came to pick us up. He took us to the hospital. My mom had been in a car crash on her way to work. She was hit by a drunk driver but was still conscious -but just barely. She still had movement in her left hand and spelt out “I Love You” into my hand and my sister’s. She died two hours later. She was 38 years old. The first year after her death was the hardest. My dad got leave from his job for three months to care for me and Lisa. By the time Summer holidays came he went back to work. At the same time my Auntie Nan moved in to our house to take care of me and Lisa. She had just survived cancer earlier that year and divorced her husband (bastard cheated on her with her best friend while she was sick). She bought a Porsche 911 with the divorce money and proceeded to spoil me and Lisa with her love. She had been granted early retirement because of her illness so she was able to help without being weighed down by a job. The factory my dad worked for closed down a year later. He decided to stop working days to spend more time with us and stuck to his nighttime job DJ’ing in town. He and my Aunt helped me get through my grief. I had regular nightmares after my mom died. I would wake up screaming and my Auntie Nan would cuddle me back to sleep, often whispering the lyrics to the songs from The Jungle Book and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. My dad (if he was there) would bring humor that he knew would cheer me up, “What’s that smell? Was that you Conor?” (he’d smell himself) “I think it was me. I need to have a shower before this room smells like a bomb went off.” Both of them were always there for me and my sister. My dad was one of the most famous faces of my hometown. Next to his DJ’ing he was a theatre actor widely respected for his talent and voices. He had connections with the Government and was universally known around town. His DJ partner often joked he had more connections than the Mafia. A few months before my mom’s 10th Anniversary when I was 18 my dad wasn’t feeling well. He had a horrible cough and chest pains, amongst others. He went into hospital and was diagnosed with lung cancer. He never smoked and rarely drank alcohol. Me and Lisa couldn’t believe it. At the time we hadn’t even lost our mom ten years and now our dad was dying while we were both still in school. He died on 24th March 2012, the same date my mom died ten years beforehand. Because of his popularity his funeral was massive. Around 2000 people came to the funeral. Although me and Lisa were losing a parent again so quickly, we both loved the massive attendance. To us, it showed the impact and importance he was in our town. At that point, me and Lisa leaned heavily on each other for support. My Auntie Nan was still there for us too. She took care of the both of us herself. But me and Lisa grew a tighter bond. Outside of school, we spent every moment together since we were all each other had left of our own family. Both of us are now 26 and 23. We have learned to cope together. Although our parents being gone still upsets us, we live comfortably in the fact that they are both together again. The local theatre my dad acted in built a walk of fame last year and my dad’s name is now forever written in stone outside it. They named the cafe inside The Frances Cafe after my mom too (they met at the theatre). My parents grave is apparently the most popular visited grave in town. Their fame lives on… EDIT: Thank you all for taking the time to post condolences here on Quora. I showed this to Lisa and my Aunt and they loved it. You all have lifted our spirits. I am truly thankful. My Aunt joked that she would love to find you all and give you all a ride in her Tesla (her new car) for your kindness.
Thank you for the A2A, Alison. I’m afraid I may not be much help to your son, because I tend to think of cars as functional things for getting me from A to B conveniently and in the dry. My Dad always had nice cars, especially Jaguars, and both my sons like BMWs; one of them now has a Porsche 911, which he is very happy with, but I have to say it’s a financial disaster every time anything goes wrong with it. There is no such thing as a minor expense when you’ve got a Porsche. His twin brother has an E46 3 series Touring MSport Individual in velvet blue, which is getting on a bit, but it is such a pretty car, and relatively rare, that he can’t bear the idea of parting with it. Similar to this one, but a much prettier colour (yes, I know it’s an estate, but when you like mountain biking and kayaking, and you have a little family, a bit of practicality sets in). Casting practicality to the wind, this was my Dad’s last car: It was a 1935 3-wheeler Morgan Aero Sport car, fifty years old at this point, and it had just been officially certified as being roadworthy for the first time in over twenty years. My brother had found it as a complete wreck, and Dad spent two years restoring it. Sadly, he died only a week or so later, but he died very happy with what he had achieved with it - and if your car doesn’t make you feel happy, then it’s probably time you got a different car!
